John Ferguson Interiors is a New York–based design studio known for creating thoughtful, distinctive spaces rooted in a deep appreciation for architecture, craftsmanship, and character. Founded in 2018 by John Ferguson, the studio blends historical resonance with contemporary sensibility to produce interiors that feel both timeless and quietly expressive.

We design elegant, layered homes across the U.S. and internationally, specializing in high-end residential interiors that combine expressive color, refined materials, and a considered mix of periods and styles. Each project begins with a clear understanding of our clients’ lives and aspirations, resulting in spaces that are sophisticated yet comfortable, tailored yet inviting.

Raised between London and New York, John studied at Eton College before attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, where he graduated summa cum laude. After training at an AD100 studio, he established his own practice to pursue a more personal, human-centered approach to interiors—spaces that feel lived-in, nuanced, and truly reflective of the people who inhabit them.

The studio offers a full range of design services, from ground-up architectural collaboration to comprehensive furnishing, styling, and art placement. Our process is collaborative and transparent, supported by close partnerships with architects, builders, and artisans to ensure every detail—from custom millwork to collected accessories—feels intentional and beautifully resolved.
